Springboard Courses FAQs

Have a question?

Innopharma Education Springboard courses are designed to help people retrain and enter a sector of the workforce in need of qualified people. Each course offered is on a part-time basis requiring between five to six hours of work per week. Springboard courses can last up to twelve months and cover certificates up to masters level programmes.

Each course in the Springboard programme is either free or subsidised for eligible jobseekers. Currently, springboard programmes aim to help people reskill to work in financial services, business start-ups and high-level manufacturing.

At Innopharma, our springboard courses provide people with the skills to start a new career in the food science, pharmaceutical or medical device sector.

We run courses across three main locations – Dublin, Cork & Limerick. The location depends on the individual courses. Our courses have online lectures throughout the week and students are all required to attend classroom based lectures 2 Saturdays a month. Course dependent these can be in Griffith College Dublin, TU Dublin, Griffith College Cork, Thomand Park and here at Innopharma Sandyford.

Returners: (formerly referred to as homemakers) May apply to all our courses if they meet the nationality/visa requirements and residency criteria. Course-specific criteria may also apply.
People in employment: May apply for all our courses if they meet the nationality/visa requirement and residency criteria.
*Please note a 10% contribution fee will apply for those in employment applying for degree and masters courses. This is payable directly to Innopharma.
The unemployed & Self-employed: All our courses are open to these categories of applicants.

Springboard courses are part-time courses which allows you to retain your social welfare payment and continue to look for employment while studying. Different requirements apply to full-time courses. Contact your local Social welfare Office for more information.

The quickest way to apply to a course with us is by filling out the enquiry form on the course page you are interested in. If a course is springboard funded a member of the team will guide you through the application process as required. This includes creating a Springboard account and applying through Springboard and Innopharma separately.

Our Springboard courses are a form of blended learning. Therefore they are a mixture of online class-based lectures and typically 2 Saturdays a month face-to-face lectures. This flexible learning is hugely beneficial to all.
