Human Capital Initiative Programmes

Human Capital Programmes

What is HCI?

This year, in addition to our Springboard+ funded courses, we are also offering 2 programmes that have been HCI (Human Capital Initiative) funded. These HCI courses are targeted towards recent graduates. The Irish government has developed this initiative as a way to help recent graduates who may be struggling to find work in these uncertain times. In addition to that, this initiative also aims to address the skills shortage within Ireland in specific areas such as the pharmaceutical and medical device sector. Graduates must have a full Level 8 Honours Degree to apply for either of our HCI funded courses. Our L8 BA (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Business Operations and our Level 9 Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Device Technology and Business are both HCI funded and are commencing in October 2020.

Why should I further my studies?

Our programmes are designed to place graduates in roles within the pharma and Medtech industries. They are created and delivered by lecturers who have held senior management positions in some of the leading blue-chip companies that operate in Ireland and internationally. Their experience brings industry context, practical applications and future thinking to the design and delivery of our courses. Our close relationship with industry is fundamental to our success. Our unique part-time and online delivery gives you the flexibility you need to avoid disruption to your schedule. Most of our students continue working while successfully completing the course. We provide live and recorded lectures which allows students to watch the recorded sessions at a time that suits them. Career development modules are integral to all our courses. Our professional business mentors guide students through CV writing, sourcing of roles and developing a professional network and interview preparation to make sure each student has a personal career strategy and the confidence to apply for positions that utilise their knowledge and skills.
